Neighborhood overview
Harlem - Morningside Heights, this is the heart of the Gentrification/Revitalization of Harlem.

Everything you know of Harlem is right around the corner. The Apollo, Columbia University, Magic Johnson Theater, Cotton Club, Grants Tomb, National Jazz Museum, the famous Red Rooster restaurant which is one of the favor restaurants of Obama, the chef Marcus Samuelson has been invited to White House to make national Gala dinner for many time, and the list goes on.

To make it even better, the area is bursting at the seems with new restaurants, markets, coffee shops, wine stores etc, most of them are in walking distance. The area is very safe to walk around, we walk around in the middle of night and always enjoyed the safe and charming neighborhood.

You can walk to Columbia where you will find a bustling campus and more places to eat and check out. That is also where you find the "Seinfeld Diner" and yes, it is open so you can go in and check it out. We are also a couple of blocks away from the famous historic the Cathedral Church of Saint John.
Getting around
Walking the neighborhood gets you to shopping, eating and Columbia University.

Three blocks uptown (that means the short end of the block) is the Subway. This is the 125th St Station. You can get the A Express- 6 minutes to 59th st Time Warner Center and Lincoln Center and then heading all the way to JFK Airport. The D Express- 6 Minutes to Time Warner or Lincoln Center and then 4 Minutes to Rockefeller Center.

Then there are the B and C Locals, They go down Central Park West and stop at every station including the Museum of Natural Art and 72nd St best know for the Dakota Building, plus this is the heart of the upper west side. All Trains continue down the island stopping at Times Square, SOHO, Chinatown and eventually battery Park. bottom line is this is a great location to live in the city.
